For some people who are a mechanic every day, would have been familiar with objects called PCB this. The PCB is an object shaped like a thin board used to construct a series of electronic components. PCB stands for Printed Circuit Board which in Indonesian is often translated into Printed Circuit Board or Print Circuit Board. As its name is Printed Circuit Board, PCB is a Board used to connect Electronic components with its conductor path layers.
A PCB is a board connected electronically conductive components with tracks, pads and via laminated copper sheets on a non-conductive substrate. PCB can be 1 layer, 2 layer or multiple layers (multilayer). PCB can be found in almost all electronic equipment such as mobile phones, televisions, cars, motorcycles, and others. Many things must be considered by a designer to be able to design printed circuit boards that can function in accordance with the specified specifications.
Whether the circuit is designed to be applied to analog or digital circuits, applying high or low voltage, powered by strong or weak currents, having a high or low frequency, is susceptible to interference (sensitive) or immune. It is no less important and often makes the design of circuit board dizzy is EMC / EMI. Type of PCB Based Materials :
The type of PCB board based on the first material is PHENOLIC. This phenolic board itself is a PCB which is made using lower quality materials than fiberglass PCBs and of course also when viewed in terms of cheaper price than fiberglass PCBs. This species is widely found in the market and is common for the practice of making the circuit.
The type of PCB based on the material is Fiberglass. This type of PCB has a quality that is certainly better than the phenolic type. Copper on fiberglass PCB fades faster, making PCB time faster. With a higher price, this type is strong and resistant to heat from installed components or because of the current flowing in its pathways.
Types of PCBs by their order :
Single Sided PCB : Single sided PCB is a type of PCB Assembly that has only one layer of the copper component on one side of its substrate. Single Sided PCB type is widely used for various simple electronic circuits with relatively low-cost production. This type can be used for basic electronics circuitry practices.
Double Sided PCB : Double side PCB is a PCB type with two layers of copper on each side of the substrate. Sometimes, there are holes that serve to connect the two layers of copper. Double Layer PCBs are used for more complicated electronic circuits because of path diverges using two layers, this will simplify and reduce the complexity of difficult paths.
PCB Matrix Strip Board : PCB matrix strip board is a PCB that has 1 side of copper and has holes with normal size 0.8 – 1 mm. This type of PCB is usually called the prototype board. For practice and simple circuits that require speed PCB board preparation, this type is the solution. Simply insert the component legs into the holes and connect the paths with soldering.
